Welcome to my webpage!

This is my 4th year teaching Special Education at JMMS.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and LBD, along with a Master's in Teacher Leadership.  I am teaching 8th grade Special Education this year. I enjoy teaching and have high expectations for all of my students.

I arrive at school around 7:10 every morning and leave around 3:00 in the afternoon.  Feel free to contact me anytime by email at melanie.payne@hopkins.kyschools.us, or call James Madison Middle School if you have any questions or concerns.  I have car rider duty on Wednesday and Thursday mornings so I will not be available during that time.  If you send me an email or leave me a message, I will get back to you as quickly as possible.  If it is after 2:40 or on the weekend, I will return your email or call the following business day.
