Hopkins County Schools Department of Special Education is responsible for providing specialized services to students with identified disabilities and those children eligible for the KERA Preschool Program. The department is comprised of 82 special education teachers; two teacher consultants; 6 school psychologists; 15 related service providers; and more than 50 instructional support staff. The department provides specially designed instruction and related services to more than 1,200 students with disabilities ages 3 through 21.
