We understand there is a need for devices for many students in Hopkins County to participate in online learning. We all have been working diligently to best accommodate the needs of each individual school. The following information may be helpful:
If requested, each household will be given 1 device.
A parent/guardian will need to sign a form before receiving the device.
The device will be a used Chromebook from the student’s school.
If a student would like to use a personal device, it needs to be capable of accessing Internet, utilizing Chrome Browser, and watching YouTube videos.
Some examples of these devices would be computers, laptops, iPads, Apple devices, Android devices, Kindle Fire, etc.
The district has installed outdoor Wi-Fi at 5 school locations free for your student. These locations are Hopkins County Central High School, North Hopkins High School, West Hopkins School, James Madison Middle School, and West Broadway Elementary School.
More information about pickup dates will be provided by your child’s school. If you have additional questions, please reach out to your school.
