Barber to Serve as Preschool Coordinator

Amber Barber has been named HopkinsAmber Barber County Schools’ preschool coordinator.

“I would like to thank the district for this opportunity,” Barber said. “I have been a preschool teacher for 10 years and have enjoyed working with our families as well as the preschool team. I am very excited to continue working in preschool in this new capacity.”

Barber has taught preschool in the district since 2010 and previously served as a preschool teacher’s aide.

She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary early childhood education, both from Murray State University.

“Mrs. Barber’s experience in preschool will allow her to support our preschool staff and continue the integrity of the program,” said Superintendent Amy Smith. “We are excited about her new journey and look forward to a great year!”
